Over the last several years, Itay Mautner has emerged as a fixture of the young and contemporary Israeli culture scene.Among his varied accomplishments, Itay hosted a late-night culture program on Israel's most popular television network, edited the highly regarded culture magazine, 360 Degrees, directed segments for Israel's leading television news magazine, and published columns for a wide array of Israeli print and online journalism outlets.
Itay co-founded two of Israel's most successful art events of recent years: the Art TLV Biennale of International Art in Tel Aviv, and Pecha Kucha Nights, both of which drew thousands of attendees.
A self-described "culture addict," Itay offers a unique and expansive perspective on Israel's bustling culture scene, with expertise ranging from visual art, video art and photography to graphic and industrial design and even underground street culture. Dynamic and humorous, his lectures draw richly upon examples and images that present an alternative take on the State of Israel in general and on the country’s cultural life in particular.
